About David Marriott

David Marriott teaches black critical theory and culture at University of California, Santa Cruz. He is the author of several books of poetry and many articles on modern black literature and thought, including recent studies of C.L.R. James, Sylvia Wynter, Steve McQueen and Adrian Piper. His book Whither Fanon? Studies in the Blackness of Being is forthcoming from Stanford University Press in 2017.
