About Gordon Hull

Gordon Hull is Associate Professor of Philosophy and Public Policy at UNC Charlotte, where he also directs the Center for Professional and Applied Ethics. His research is in moral and political philosophy, primarily on issues at the intersection of philosophy, technology and law. He has written extensively on topics such as privacy, intellectual property and big data.  He also works in the history of political philosophy, and is the author of "Hobbes and the Making of Modern Political Thought" (Continuum, 2009).  He is a frequent blogger on NewAPPS.
