About Ida Momennejad

Ida Momennejad combines philosophy and science to understand memory: from its material underpinnings and mathematical models to the interconnectedness of individual and collective memory, and how they shape the self and the future. She has published about fifty articles and book chapters in journals like Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society and Nature Human Behaviour, and forthcoming book Space, Time, and Memory (Oxford University Press, 2024). She is currently working on a speculative fiction novel and a nonfiction book, in which meditations on memory in the context of science, lineage, and war blur the boundaries of logos and mythos, the personal and the political.
